ITR STOLEN

Hey guys, so I drove my car to work today...crappy weather, but I didn't have a ride and I needed to get to work. Anyway, can you guys be on the look out for my Integra Type R, Pheonix Yellow, all stock.

It was stolen from my work parking lot. I have an eye witness and have already reported it stolen and filed an insurance claim. Happened in St. Paul, Energy Park Drive.

5 Asian males spotted at the scene. Driving a maroon 98-2000 Honda CRV - License plate started with something like 247 or 297, didn't get a good look. They were spotted going east on Energy Park Drive towards Lexington Parkway. Look out for stock ITR parts selling from MN recently. I had a JDM ITR rear strut tower bar installed as well.

These guys sure had some ballz...the car is clearly visible from the lunch room. I regret not taking better care for my car...and I regret having to drive it to work. Peace.

I did a few things. Custom re-install of the clifford alarm system that was there when I bought it, clutch lock, and a steering wheel lock, I moved the hood cable..that's about it. Parked it in front of the lunch room and in front of my managers windows. I have an eye witness to the crime, who said she will be able to identify atleast a couple of those guys. Plus full description of their vehicle they came with.

From what I know and heard, I think they been scoping my work place out, because a number of employees said they spotted the same maroon honda crv lurking about this week. I been driving my jeep to work, but then drove the type r today. I don't really know how long it took them. But from eye witness account, the lady said she thought it was me and some of my friends or somebody i knew helping me with the car and some car problems. So she watched for like 5 minutes.

Then when they all became unrecognizable, that's when she came in and got me. At that point they were driving away with the car, behind the building to the exit at the other side. No one else was outside or on break at the time, it was around 6pm. Probably took them about 10 minutes...She said there were 5 guys total. Asians (probably hmong) like me.

She described 1 guy to look sort of like me, 1 skinny guy was in the hood 2 guys were inside passenger and driver. 1 guy walking around the cars and 1 guy in the driver's side of the honda crv. When they saw her and she saw them she said that they started hustling and the car was started and they were off.

I have recent photos I took of the car, I'll post them up when I have the time to.

Just got a tip from a local forum...anonymous user. Gave the cops the info...see what happens. A guy got killed for his parts from his 350z recently...so I don't want to do nothing dumb.

I don't think they are going to go check it out soon enough. I'm going to go scan that area with some of my cousins. If I see anything, I'll call the police first.

Good luck.

Just a tip, if you do come across it/them, call the cops and say you "think" you saw them with a pistol/weapon. Their response will be MUCH faster than you calling and saying you found your stolen car that you reported.

I'm sorry to hear. :(

It is good that your co-workers are at least looking out for you. Buy them a beer for their efforts regardless of the outcome.

Pedal locks are usually defeated by cutting the pedal pad off. They can still work the clutch just by push the stub. Same with a Club like device on the steering wheel. It's easier to cut the wheel with a small hack saw. It's been done many times. It only delays them. It took them 10 mins to steal the car instead of 4-5 mins. Delays help....helped your co-worker take notice.
Sucks your alarm didn't go off and notify you...ugh.

Hope the tip helps out. At my last office job I told all my co-workers if they see ANY one by my car to let me know ASAP. Not a good week for honda's.

clutch lock.... not that hard to bypass. some easier than others. skill helps. thats why i asked how long they where at it.

i have 2 clutch locks. i no longer use one because i found out "one of the ways" to bypass it. took me around 5mins. wasnt happy to find that...

That's five additional minutes it would take to steal your car. Time is your ally.

takes me 5mins to get threw checkout at the store sometimes.

was told clutch lock is a 5-20min layer...

OP: back to your R. you have a hood pin switch? care to say the mounting? you not get a chirp on your remote (assuming its a 2way cuz its a clifford)?
