Ok, so my 2001 Nighthawk Black Pearl Type R is getting pretty old of a color. Black is amazing, but damn its hard to keep clean. I want something that stands out and is unique among the other Type Rs. I just got out of going to school at Wyotech and am now working for my friends custom paint and body shop. The talk has been thrown around about possibly painting my Type R. Now if I was to do it I was wanting to keep the color a Acura/Honda color and I would like it to be blue. So I narrowed it down to Long Beach Blue Pearl.

What do you guys think?

I'm certain almost everybody will advise not to paint it anything but the factory color.

You car man. If your ever concerned about resale, NH-0 is the only way to go.

I know its not its original Nighthawk Black Pearl factor color and I know its a Type R and being that, the colors that came on them are already unique on their own. And you guys are right I can do what I want I just wanted to see how everyone felt about the color. See how respected the color was.

Just be aware that the added "respect" will be at the cost of shitty resale value when it's time to dump it.

Honestly, I dont' think it will be "respected" by the community since we all like the OEM colors.

Its your car and if you buy a car and dont enjoy it because you are worried about resale value then that sucks......ITRs are rare yes but if you work at a professional paint shop why not?

just throwing it out there.......imola orange........oh yeah

Black is tough to keep clean and when its clean its the best color.

Keep it black and don't let your local softball team wash it, at their carwash fundraiser, unless they aren't wearing any rings.
