Any idea on the year of the UKDM? I need something that works with a 96-spec JDM without much modification, if any. I'm lazy and don't feel like destroying anything. :)

this would be a 98+ spec. Ive read that the easiest thing to do is to swap the speedo into your current cluster housing and it will work flawlessly. since you already have the JDM gauge, that's the only difference besides the idiot lights. normally, people with usdm gauges would swap over all the gauges into their housing and it will work.

I did the same thing when I bought a USDM ITR cluster for my GS-R. The only difference is, instead of just swapping all of the gauges over to the GS-R housing, I also swapped the mileage counter as well, so I would have the correct mileage. It's not perfect, but my speedometer read five miles over what it tells me, which I'm satisfied with for now.

If you don't care that the miles are different, then you can just swap the gauges and be done with it. There's an article somewhere that tells you how to do the mileage counter swap on HT I think. It requires removing the needle for the speedometer, so I guess that counts as messing with something. If you do go that route, make sure you use a fork to remove the needle, so you don't bend the metal piece the needle attaches to.

Edit: This is Steve from T-I, Jay. Aka, ILxIntegra.
