We shoved an ITR dash into an EG hatch, but we couldn't get it to fit without cutting out that part of the door pannel. What we finally did was just cut out that section of the door where the dash would ordinarily fit, and then just fiberglassed it by stretching some felt over the portion left with no door pannel, so this way it had a shape instead of just looking all messy, then glassed over it, after a like an eight of an inch of glass, or about 3 layers, we sanded it down very lightly, as to not disrupt the structure of it, but enough to paint it without it looking like a hack job. It came out really nicely. I'd send pics, but we have the car in pieces and are planning to do it in carbon this go around.

Hope that helped. Later,
