Go to Honda-Tech.com and do a search of the forced induction forum. There are hundreds of threads regarding turbo vs. supercharger. When you talk about supercharging a honda/acura most people assume you mean the Jackson Racing supercharger. There is a Vortech supercharger, but I've not heard many good things about it. There are many different turbo set ups. Before you spend the money on either I recommend you read "Maximum Boost" by Corky Bell. It is like the boosters bible. With this information you could probably do a custom turbo set up cheaper than a jrsc. With either system you will need modifications to control fuel and timing. Without these you will not get the full power gains, and if you run too lean you will do serious damage to your engine. If you are patient enough you can find just about everything you need cheaply through the classifieds here and at honda-tech.com or the "forced induction integra" forum on hostboard.com.

I have a jrsc on my ITR. I love it but I'm not a turbo "hater". Here are the main arguments for both systems.

1. The sc will provide more low end torque. They are better for autocross where you are constantly shifting and dropping into lower RPMs.

2. Turbos will give you more peak HP. They are better for straight-line drag racing.

3. "Turbo lag" can be reduced by using a smaller, quicker spooling turbo, but the smaller turbos don't produce as much peak HP.

4. The jrsc is warrantied for 100,000 miles. It requires no maintenance, and is simplier to install.

5. It is much easier to increase the boost on a turbo. With a sc you have to install a new pulley (or pullies).

6. It is easier to add an intercooler to a turbo system.

Good luck with whatever you decide. Be sure to let us know how it turns out.
