I recently had my steering wheel changed on my 2000 r. Everything was fine accept for the radio/cd player didn't work any more. I turned it on and off and still nothing. It reads: "ERR-3". What is that? Has anybody had the same problem. By the way it was a mugen wheel with momo adapter. Can some one help me out.

It sounds like you have to enter in the security code. If you had to disconnect the battery, then you have to re-input the security code as disconnecting the battery clears the code from the radio's memory. If you don't have the radio code (should be on a little card that came with the car), then you have to get the code from an Acura dealership. You will have to verify that you own the car.

Check the glovebox for the sticker.. also under the ashtray (take it out and turn it over). That's where most dealers put the sticker with the radio code. If it's not there, check the owners manual folder.. it should be listed on a card in there.

err3 means you inputed the code wrong 3 times and on the 5th it locks up the radio and have to leave it un pluged to reset the lock.

I ended up taken the car in. Since I'm the second owner and didn't know what dealer the car was bought from(to get the code), my dealer charged me 30 bucks to reprogram.
