Clutch and Flywheel Combo Info Request.

Post by C2CTypeR »

:o Hey wassup guys and gurls. I did a search on this topic and nothing came up so I'm posting it now. Anybody here have aftermarket clutch and lightened flywheel on their cars? I'm pretty much set on the Toda Flywheel but still don't know which clutch to get with it.

There's: Exedy,Toda,CM,ACT and others but those are the ones that are pretty much popular.

I'm deciding between ACT and Exedy. What's your opinion. Thanks.

I have Exedy and Fidanza and have been very pleased.

I know someone that has blown up one of almost every clutch disk out so take an average of what you hear.

I chose fidanza cause it is $100 less than Toda and lighter by 2 lbs.

My friend has an ACT stage 3 in his car. It's nice, and grabs like a gorilla, and is just as hard to push down. it's like a work-out for your left leg.

i got a act stage 2lol lol lol naw i have act 6puck with heavy duty pressure plate and a clutch masters flywheel its pretty fun the clutch grabs like a mutha, but i dont think u wanna get a 6puck go with a street disc with a heavy duty or xtreme pressure plate with any flywheel you'll like it.
you wont get no power but you'll accel. faster. when u race with clutch u gotta ride it if i pop my 6 puck my tires just break lose when i race so i have to ride it till i know i got traction unless u launch hella low after u break in the clutch. the clutch last long to, i ride my clutch everytime when i race and it dont smell hella bad like stock clutch.

Clutch

Post by Jan Niemi »

I'm running a Clutchmasters Stage 3 on a 2000 ITR Turboed.
It is a very nice clutch I've been to the strip numerous times with it. The pedal effort is very close to stock. My stock clutch was slipping on boost pretty severely, the CM is holding up very well. Do not forget to resurface the flywheel.
