Both are going to pretty much give the same results on a stock intake, within 1-2 hp of each other. Id get the K&N because its cheaper.

just for the price and flow #'s
we did a shop test and k&n did better
but if you want to but an intake on your car I would go with the comptech icebox

I believe there was a test somewhere that showed the cotton gauze (K&N) filtered better than foam (Comptech) as well.

I called and they want $85.00 since it's a "special order" item!!

Shouldn't I be able to find it somewhere for $50 +/- ??

The drop in version of the k&n is around 70+

Try martel bros, they have a direct link to the K&N website.

Your best luck would be to find one on ebay or a used one.

Hp wise, they will offer the same performance.
