The ITR has been noted in Sport Compact Car as being able to stop from 60 mph in 116 feet. This is incredible! The Toyota Celica GTS beats the Type R by only a couple feet and the same goes for a few other very expensive, high performance cars (Porsche, EVO, STi). So the Type R is very impressive as far as braking goes and is far superior to most cars including any civics, other integras, etc. In fact, the Type R stops better than the Mazdaspeed Protege, SRT-4, Ford Focus SVT and several others.

The ITR is one of the best equipped cars in its class for stopping power. However distances are relative to the tires you run on. The limiting factor remaining is traction.
With HP+ and RA-1's in the street, I am hard pressed to find a car that will out brake me. When you factor in the stability of the ITR, not much comes close. Forget the numbers...trust your feelings.
