MiraiZ cheated to get his conversion, its not supposed to be real, jeez, hey hows about trading with me, youd probably be the first on your block in yokahama with a USDM conversion.
Seriously though, props to all, very nice cars!!

I am new to this site and I haven't set these pictures up for puting in a thread yet so just check out my website for now.
http://www.ScottsTypeR.s5.com Sorry about the pop-ups, its a free website. Right now I just have the turbo kit and everything else is stock. Here is a list of mods I am planning to do within a few months or so.
Thermal 3" Exhaust
High Flow Catalytic Converter
Custom 3" Downpipe
550cc Injectors
AEM EMS
STR Fuel Rail
Dyno Tuning
Greddy Type S low Off Valve
Greddy Profec Boost Controller
Having a High/Low Boost seting of 6 psi (daily driving) and 10 psi (race applications)
What do you think?
cool

welcome to the site,
comments..
nice setup, wastegate is really half-assed though, you should mount it directly to the manifold, and install the discharge elbow to the waste gate outlet and divert the exhaust out of the engine compartment, this is something you don't want to take shortcuts on, the hot exhaust gases that you are currently dumping on top of your manifold will heat up the engine compartment tremendously, not to mention the possibility of melting nearby components, and the soot!
question..
your site shows it strapped to the dyno, how much whp did you make and what boost and rpm?
It's good to have some more turbo Rs on the site!!

I think he made 200 jan.

Yea, i olny made about 200 whp, but thats with 6 psi and all stock exhaust. I am hoping those mods i listed will bring up the power.
As for the Wastegate....There were a lot of problems on the install with that. That is exactly how rev hard said to mount the wastegate, however i did not like it. My shop and I talked on the phone with them on several occasions and thats what they said to do. I went with Fal slimline fans however there was still not much room. I wanted to keep my A/C and i still do. Do you have any suggestions as to how else i should mount it??
wastegate

I made my own downpipe with the wastegate outlet tied in, your shop should be able to fab something up for you if they are halfway competent.
mine clears the a/c, as you can see, I have removed the a/c though for other reasons.

Wait....so does your Wastegate dump right into your downpipe and through the exhaust? if so, does that change the sound at all or make it louder?
wastegate

Well, the soundwaves travel through the exhaust system and come out the tailpipe, so I don't know if it is effectively more quiet than having the exhaust vented in two locations like you have, but it is definitely a much more pleasant exhaust note than an open wastegate. I ran my setup similar to yours a couple of years ago and I thought it sounded like total shit, like a big moped, plus the stench was horrible, I'd rather have that vented behind me than in front of me personally..
If you want to hear what my car sounds like with the current setup, click my website on the bottom of my post, and go to my type R page, there's a link to turbo sounds..

I only ask because I know that with a turbo setup, the exhaust is usually quieter. My wastegate tends to make almost a screaming sound when it discharges. I was just wondering if that sound is eliminated when its put in the exhaust pipe. Also, I like the way your exhaust looks however, is it possible to tuck it up more, or is that as far as it can go? Thanks.
