ITR41 what sites are you finding these on and which do you think is over all better. I'm looking for one right now. I messed up my inter axle joint because of really really really bad wheel hop (mirrors pointing down, glove box open, ash tery open, coins all over the floor bad wheel hop) and I don't want it to happen again. Thanks for your help.

Look into Z10 traction bars, stiff motor mounts or even engine dampeners.

motor mounts

have you tried lowering your tire press?

the Z10's are comp. eng. set up. jim fabs are the same thing but cost less.

mount inserts aren't goin to fix the problem on high HP cars. slicks might though

if you launch right you can use stock axles easy....I know of 600+whp hatches all using stock axles and using one set for an entire year. we are talking 10 second passes here and 1.5 60's or better.

this is how you manage to not break axles with slicks:

1. DO NOT TURN THE STEERING WHEEL DURING THE BURNOUT!!!!!!!!
2. DO NOT side step the clutch at 7 grand!
3. DO NOT use a slick TOO BIG(IE how tall not wide) for your HP
4. launch high in RPM's but slip the clutch tring to keep the RPM's at a constant

good advice... though turning the wheel on burnout I don't think is really THAT big of a deal... next year I'm gonna do a few without turning. The reason I turn the wheel is the get each side of the slick warmed up... Broke one OEM axel this last year and it was on street tires cause I didn't launch hard enough and the tire didn't spin off the line at all... *my bad*

I used to get bad wheel hop, but I purchased the energy suspension motor mount insert kit and it eliminated virtually all of my wheel hop. For a really cheap mod, its working out great...it just sucks cause they will take awhile to put on the car.
