Information about an ecu change...

i went to a speed zone, and i asked about an OB1 change from stock, they said it wont work because, my 01 TypeR comes with an immoblizer which wont function correctly?? is that true? like Hondata or Skunk2, none of them work??

You can use an OBD1 ECU. Just need the right adapter harness. I'd suggest Kenji for the Harness (and the ECU actually) unless you want a standalone. His email if you want to talk to him is kenji211@tampabay.rr.com.

I had a kenji ecu/harness and loved it. Highly recommend contacting him.
