Okay here is the deal I got a stock 98 R for now and just purchased these goodies : DC jDM header. apex'i n1 catback... 2.5 cat or test pipe ( still not sure ) and comptech ice box with foam filter... I am planning to get a chipped P28 obd1 from kenji with the conversion harness ( street program 5300 vtec / 9000 redline ).. My question is : Since I just invested a good amount of $$$ will I see gain not only on the dyno but at the quarter mile strip ?... I ran 14.61 @ 93.5 stock with a 2.3 0-60 ( with a 40 km/h face wind ) I want to know if it is possible to hit in the high or mid 13 with this setup on a good weather day witout slicks with a target 2.1 0-60 fts ( toyo ra1 @ 20 psi )

Definately should break into the 13's with slicks and those mods... I consitantly ran 13.50x on average in my Si Coupe with nothing but a Stock R motor, AEM CAI and Apexi WS exhaust so yes its possible for you to get into the 13's with those mods.

I might warn you though with the Apexi N1 exhaust... I just baught one for my car and I run a test pipe as well and its quite loud... Just be aware that the car will be VERY loud and raspy at WOT. I personally think the sound is annoying, but I baught the exhaust for the performance gains.. Just start telling all your friends that "fast cars aren't loud, loud cars are fast." Good luck, you'll be happy with your setup.
