I only have an alarm system and lojack. I know both won't really help much so I would like to know what I can buy/install. What do you guys have installed? And places where I can get these things would be helpful as well.

To protect my R i bought another car not a fancy one just an old beater crx to get me to school and back. But when i do drive the R i make sure i park in secure locations and dont go any where that is known for theft. I dont even have an alarm on mine. Actually the only thing is the immobilizer key and the door locks.

Three words.... secure overnight parking!
And never leaving it on the street for an extended period of time(like 2 or 3 hours).. and using the club.
Never had a single problem(madly touching every piece of wood I can find!)

the brake lock bar I got for about $40 at kragen or any local auto parts should have it its the one that locks the brake or clutch in the up position.
I have herd of devices that crooks use to break it off but its really well made and just another obstical to make it harder to steal.

Bwahahaha , no you don't .

Anyways, I have a Clifford brand Alarm w/ a shock and proximity sensor. I unplug my ecu, have 2 autolocks for the clutch and brake pedals and disconnect the main motor wiring harness every night :(

I have also been known to run a chain through my wheels, tow hooks and my suspension to hooks I cemented a foot into my drive way when I leave my car alone for an extended time.

Hahaha!! That's awesome!! I can just imagine some car theives thinking about your car and then seeing that it's chained to the driveway!

Alright thanks guys. I'll be getting me a brake lock for the clutch. That removable steering wheel would be nice to get but I wouldn't know where to put the steering wheel when i remove it. Cause i'll be at school and I think it'd look pretty weird walking around school with a wheel in my hand. And what are the chances of it coming off while your driving?

this has been on the forum since when i used to frequent it.

anywho, alarm to make noise, autoloc (the best way to keep your car from being driven off), and the club (merely for looks). also my Integra Type-R car cover can be locked using a small cable that goes through two gromlets on each side. (and once again, the cover was from Acura, specifically made for TYPE-R (made to fit over that wing)).

The alarm works! Once, my dad and I heard it going off at 2:30 am. He came running out with a baseball bat, and I came running out with my samurai sword. The two were trying to get the car cover off. They saw my dad come out the front door, and I came running out our back gate with a "big shiny knife," (4 ft. long katana). They took off in a loud car that already had a driver situated in it.

worst of all, a friend of mine knows the guys who tried to rip me off for my car. he won't tell me who they are. makes me suspicious of my friends...

I don't know much about alarms as you can see. So what is an autoloc, where can i get one, and how much does it cost?

As for the Integra Type-R car cover, did the car come with it? Or did you have to buy it yourself? Cause I don't have one. How much do they cost? The one specifically made for the Type-R.

I love my R but I hate the fact that I cant drive the car anywhere. Their are times when I want to go to the movies and I have to think twise about it, and that's when my girl say I'll drive honey. I hate that shit!!

yes the auto lock locks the clutch or brake in the up position. I have seen on here that thiefs have a tool that can break it but like I said before the more to discourage the better. and how many thiefs have that device or go on to the next car. I think i paid $39. at a local auto parts store.
(type r rick)
I feel ya man When my lease is up and i dont have the second car I expect my emblems to get jacked the first time I go to a show or park in
a area that I would otherwise not park. I have thought about taking the emblems off so i wont get a scratch or dent if a thief tries to jack it. they
are just double side taped on right?

How much and how long does it take to put it on and take it off?

$500 bills if your local to socal i can show you mine, and it goes on in less than a minute, and it comes off in about 1 minute...these are the same ones the local parking enforcement officers use except these are 14". they use a 12" boot. the 14" boots will fit up to 19" wheels.

it can be disabled using heavy duty power tools and enough time.. but what thief is going to sit there and break it off. so what does that mean the only other option they have is to tow your car. if you use the autolock , and lock your trans in gear it gives you more time since they will have to get it out of gear then hook it up to the tow truck...

these are the best in the market. the one reason your local government agency uses them....
