well I was thinking about getting the Mugen MF10s and was wondering what offset to get in 16" the +43 or +50.

I also was looking at the Mirror face Mugen MF10s but they only come in 17" with an offset of +48, will they work on the R. Will it scrape. I still don't understand about offsets. Let me know. What are your thoughts.

Stock offset on the Type R is +50 mm offset. If you want to keep the same suspension geometry and scrub radius - then you should go with these rims. Max tire size you can fit on these is 225/40-16. You can also use 215/45-16 (JDM size) or 205/50-16.

The +43mm offset rims will give you 1.4 cm more track width. The rims will appear a little more "pushed out" than the +50mm (but just a little).
Max tire size is usually 215/45-16. Any wider and you will have to roll the fenders a bit in the rear - or run camber.

The MF-10 is a really nice rim. 16x7 weigh in at about 11 lbs. The 15 x 6.5 weigh 10.1 lbs.

how would the 17" mugen mf-10 fit with an offset of +48 fit? will I have issues with rubbing? So your saying that with a higher offset the rim is closer in and with a lower offset the rim is out more right?
