What's your take on a JDM Front End conversion on your ITR?

I think that it looks awesome....I guess it would depend on how many R's are in your part of the country and if you want yours to be different...

i like it, but the whole JDM thing is getting a little played nowadays.

id rather spend the 2600-2700 dollars on the motor or suspension.

well think about it this way...you're spending all this money, for a front end of an integra that came from japan, that was either a wrecked car, salvaged off of an integra, or just sold, because they knew they could get more money for it here. why pay all that money to look stock, y'know?

i hate haters...it's friggin' annoying. whether it's something averagely expensive like getting your emblems jacked, something dumb like swiping your windshield wiper blades, caps on your tires, or something really expensive like stealing the spoiler (breaking the spoiler), or keying your car. thats y i hardly take my car anywhere.

I'd only do it if I had $ lying around or someone hit me.

It's a personal taste thing.

I think it makes the car look like an old Prelude, and that amount of money could be put to so much good use making the car handle better or go faster.

Huge waste of $$ IMO

I'd deffinatly do motor /suspension first... they JDM< fromts are tight but I'd rather put my money else whee in the car IMO

a lot of people have the urge to make their car look great. jdm front takes care of that urge. once you satisfy that, you can focus on more important mods =)

To JDM or not to JDM

I personally like the JDM front end. My itr has it. I didn't personally put in on there, the original owner did. While I agree that the money could be better spent somewhere else, it comes down to personal preference. If you like it do it, one's not better than the other.

It's too bad that the type-r here in the US didn't come stock with the front end. I think it looks so much better. When I had my GSR I was going to do the front end conversion but it got stolen so I couldn't. When I bought the type-r then it was the first thing on my list to change.

I LOVE IT...

Up for sale: Real Mugen Front Bumper for JDM conversion. Any offers?

Personally I love the JDM front end, I have one myself for a couple of years now and nomatter what...peeps still look, though its played out here in southern cali. I used to have the Cali type R but had too many problems with it, due to the headlights that is holding on to the bumper and the bumper is fiberglass. The JDM front is great no worries because everything is oem spec.

I think the JDM front end is dope, the only issue I have with it is that it won't fit perfectly. I spent damn near $30K on my ITR from the dealer. There is no way in hell i'm going to go cut up the front end and slap on the JDM front end clip. Plus most integra's with the JDM conversion aren't even real Type R's. For all that money it costs i'd rather put that into the suspension & engine in my ITR, because my car was built for one thing, RACING, not winning car shows. If i had an integra other than a Type R then i'd do it.

I think it is stunningly attractive, however it would block about a 1/3 of my intercooler, and I just can't have that.

I have no problems with the ITR front end with my intercooler...but It can all depends what intercooler we have... I got a DRAG intercooler so it fits perfectly...

I would go with engine or suspension tunning instead!
