Here is the Previous Post:

My story to date.

Bought 98 R 0940 in may after selling 2000 R #891.

Dyno'd in May stock and made 159.9/110 whp
Dyno'd same day with an AEM and made 162.1/112.3 whp

Dyno'd Oct 20 with AEM, JDM 4-1/Carsound cat, 00/01 ITR intake cam, Stock Exhaust, Hondata Intake Manifold gasket, Stock ECU, Toda Cam gears set to Zero and made 178.1/125.3 whp

Dyno'd with my Power FC with a base map and made 179.5/126.9 whp. Did not go through the proper steps to tune so will have to report back.

Here is the UPDATE:

Went to Dynolab in Atlanta. I must say it was a nice facility and the owner is very cool. Note on the previous dyno numbers and the new numbers that they were different dynojets. The numbers seemed to vary around 6-8 hp (I actually saw a 10.5 whp difference but had a slightly different setup).

Setup where the Wideband actually goes into the Header/exhaust pipe and plugs into the computer. This allows the air/fuel
to be graphed on the computer screen and allowed me to add and remove fuel at the certain RPMs. I got my fuel curve to a nice linear 13.4:1 except for the very rich VTEC dip that seems to be unavoidable.

We tuned fuel first per a suggestion from Hondata to wait and do Cam Gears last. Fuel was very easy to trim up with the graph. The Dynolab is a
dynojet but seemed to make 6-8 hp less than the Performance Garage (precios location) so take that in mind when comparing #'s between the 2. I dyno'd 167.6 with the stock ECU, 170.45 with the power FC just plugged in and 176.44 after fuel tuning. Previously I saw zero gain from tuning the PFC so now I am seeing a 6 whp gain just from fuel tuning.

We did a minor adjustment to the timing and the cam gears but I was out of time. When I say out of Time the dynoowner allowed me to take 1.5 hours of time and charged me only for one hour at $125/hr. I did al the tuning myself with a little assitance on the cam gears which still need more tuning. I made very little torque, about 1.3 ft-lbs but i think I would have seen more with timing tuning.

I will be working on partial throttle tuning and then going back for timing and cam gears.

Based on the gains comparing to the first numbers and the new numbers am between a 176 and a 184. Most improtantly I got big midrange gains.

Hey william. Car is running great. Still have tuning left to do to cam gears and ignition timing on the Power FC. I will be back sometime in early spring.

how's the hand?
