I have a 2000 R and lately it has been sputtering when I hit the gas. Not really when I get on it but just regular driving. I'm from KY and it just started getting pretty cold here so I don't know if that has something to do with it. when it sputters, the air/fuel gauge is reading all the way from stoich into rich. Is it a bad plug wire, plug, valve or what? Any help would be much appreciated. I love my R and I want to figure this out before something bad happens. Thanks in advance.

i don't know what's wrong, but if you haven't already, check honda-tech. there's so much traffic there and tehy're really knowledgable so hopefully they can help.

check the valve cover gasket, plug, wires... anything or do a seach on H-T... prolly under archived content is going to be your best bet
