Mid Atlantic MEGA MEET #5

The next meet will be held Saturday, July 2nd, 2005 from 7:30pm - 11:00pm. For all other info, please visit the website at http://www.megameet.org

Due to the number of vehicles that attended the last two meets, there are going to be a couple of changes made. Prince William County Police and VDOT are now requiring us to hire 2 officers, one for each entrance. Also some decisions had to be made about parking since we cannot move the meet to another lot until our permit expires at the end of this year. The organizers are asking for a $1 donation as you enter the parking lot. With this dollar donation, you will receive parking in the MEGA MEET lot and 1 raffle ticket. Please do not loose this raffle ticket if you want the chance to win some great prizes from our sponsors! However, if you decide not to make this donation, then you may park at the top of the hill in the open parking lot. You may not park at the gas station or the Hampton Inn because your vehicle will be towed! All vehicles that are trailered to the lot, must be in the lot and unloaded before 8:00pm. The truck and trailers are then allowed to park at the upper parking lot at the top of the hill.

Be on time if you want a good parking spot in the MEGA MEET lot!

These changes had to be made because we want to be able to keep the meet up and running for a long time. We thank everyone for their support and please come out and enjoy another great Mid Atlantic MEGA MEET July 2nd!

We have had some questions about this, so I wanted to address it. When you give the dollar donation and receive the raffle ticket, keep in mind that this does not gaurantee you a parking spot if you leave the lot and come back later that night. We all know how big this meet is getting and that the lot fills up before 9:00pm. Also, please understand that this is a meet where you come in, park, and enjoy the wide variety of vehicles that come to these meets. There is no driving around the lot because this causes traffic problems and safety issues for everyone especially the younger car enthusiasts that come with their parents.

REVTECH Motorsports is also donating supplies to have a hot dog cook out at the meet. This is not an all you can eat buffet so please respect all the other people that are enjoying the meet along with you.

Thanks again for all the support that everyone is showing for these meets and lets have another great time the 2nd of July.

I hope everyone has a great time tonight at the MEGA MEET. Please respect the amount of time and money that has gone into getting this meet up and running. I know we all like to show off our rides but reving, doing burnouts, racing through the parking lot and on the roads is not the best way to show your support. We want to keep these meets going for a long time and we need everyones help with that. Tonight is hopefully going to be the largest and most organized meet the Mid Atlantic area has ever seen. That was me that rolled down late with the JDM front with the red seats. I'll try to make it earlier next time. Seems to always be something that I'm involved in during these meets.

Not sure if I talked to either of you two. I was the guy standing at the very top of the road by the Hampton Inn letting people know about the dollar donation. Even though I organize the meet, I still like to be one of the main traffic people along with standing on top of the Subburban with Bryan (the other organizer) during the raffle. I remember talking to one black Teg with the JDM front end that had 4-lug but I dont think it was an R. Then there was a stock black R that was parked right next to my girls black RSX with the ITR lip kit.
