Interior is only worth 100 lbs. other misc crap like rear wiper, antenna, window motors & such is another ~40lbs. If you have a cage there are more supports you can take out for another ~25 lbs.

Remove your interior, then pull up the carpet. Under the carpet is sound deadening material. Get dry ice and put it down on this material. Wait a few minutes to let it all freeze. Then bash it all out with a hammer! Oh and I have weighed my R without gutting anything, and then after gutting all interior except carpet, drivers seat, and both door panel's. I pulled out just under 200lb's. Also you can put yourself on a diet too! lol

I just shipped the seats - they are ~45lbs each. However, you have to put something back in...so 200 for just interior pieces is a bit exaggerated. I've got to weigh the cage we just put in & then continue subtracting the excess weight.

btw - why is the original poster trying to diet the kaa???

fwiw - I always weigh my car on the scales at Heartland Park during SCCA events. I'm assuming their scales should be good since it determines qualification.

Anyway, I weighed the car before and after the interior so the only stock pieces left were dash, center concole, power motors for mirrors and windows, and 2 stock seats.

Still need to take out the black brace under rear seat location, silver rear bar, but I'm leaving the mirror & window motors in. I'll eat that 15lbs ;-)
