I have a 98 CW itR with alot lot of daily driven miles, but I still love the car to death. The car has the stock 15 inch wheels.I am looking for a tire that is good for any weather that still is ok performance, other words I want a tire that is better than what my grandmother has on her Ford Taurus. I was leaning toward Falken or Toyo..does anyone have any ideas from thier own experiences with a good all season tire for the itR.Thanks. My car is only used for daily driving, no racing.

It's really up to your budget, see what tirerack offers in 195/55-15. They have a bunch. I don't use my car in snow so I really can't help, and I never bothered to get 4 season tires. I use Kuhmo MXs for my daily driving which includes all temps rain and sun. They have not let me down even in driving rain that I could not see 50ft.

I've been using dunlop SP 5000 asymmetrics.
Still need to use chains in heavy snow.
onlinetires.com has a great price on them right now....
I think the 195/50/15's are getting closed out by dunlop.

I just put on a set of Falken Ziex, I love this tire for the street.

Falken Ziex 512 are an extraordinarily good buy. They grip well and perform well in all kinds of weather. Only bad thing I can say about them is that they get noisy as they wear. They'll end up almost as bad as Azenis 215's, and at that point it might be unbearable for you.

At a significantly higher cost, I replaced my all weather tyres on my EP3 with P Zero Nero. They grip every bit as well and they are significantly quieter...but they do cost more.

I don't think there are many tyres out there that beat the Ziex 512 for an all around good buy, if you can take the noise.

Or just get the Falken FK-451's. They grip, and are quiet.

All around summer tires the are sometimes used in mild winter situations need to have good tread depth and excellent water drainage abilities. I have some clients using the Hankook K104 for these purposes....leaving Montreal to drive to Florida but can't affford to get stuck in a March snowstorm......

personally as a pure summer performance tire, the K104 is hard to beat and in my case, doubles up as a wet track tire too!
