MOTOR GONE>>>WANT INFO

hey i need help with info right away....i recentley threw a rod in my type R motor that only had 55k miles on it.. :evil: not that i drove it hard...it just had been in the past.....what i need is to find out a place that i can ship the motor out to were they can rebuild it and put a substantial amount of internal upgrades for more power? ....and does spoon sports rebuild and tune motors.??????
neeed info fast......please help

^ Definitely can't go wrong with either of these guys.

Whip Factory in Plainfield, IL rebuilt my motor. Good price and good value. You'll probably need it at least sleeved? Is the block still useable at all? Rods like to go THROUGH blocks, which is bad.

hey im think about sending it to a place called zero lift....is this place anygood? has anyone heard of it?...heres the website http://www.zerolift.com
...they have a couple 500whp type Rs :D

I have made my recomendations... And I never heard of that place.

Remember, anyone can make any car reach xxx whp, but how long will it last. Also there are shady shops around, so bringing them an R might not be the best thing.

well my block is no good so they want to swap a new motor in......i really just want the c5 but they are too expensive....so i dont know what im going to do...i really dont like the fact that i have a type R thats not a type R cuz i havea gsr motor in it...if there are any places were i can get a R motor would be nice :x

I'm not trying to sound like a butt, but why are you concerned about all the internal upgrades if you can't afford a stock block???

Get the stock block & you'll have a motor that won't have a reliability problem. That will save you $$ in the long run.

because i can get labor and parts done relatively cheap..but i cant get motors so cheap
