Quietest 2.5" exhaust...what is it??

Hey guys,

I picked up a used Spoon 4-1 header, and a hi-flow cat...all with a 2.5" diameter. I'm still deciding on a catback, or custom mid-pipe+axleback with that diameter.

So far, I haven't found very many, and my options are limited. Any suggestions?

I've only seen T1R 63mm axle-back and Spoon N1 63mm.

I want it as quiet as possible (which is a dream), but i need options!

Hytech is very very quiet. Quality is unmatched also. Its worth every penny, but is somewhat pricey.

haha well its not as bad as many seem to think. Its a fair amount less than the mugen and is just barely more expensive the RM-01A. And this is for a custom piece and not just an OTS product. For what it is and does, I think its a pretty decent value. (if something that expensive can ever be considered a value :P )

I've got a custom Full SS 2.5" inner diameter exhaust system forsale. http://www.kteller.com is where I got it from. It's never even been installed. Had a buyer this morning but deal fell trhough. Asking $325 shipped. I opted for this cause it was a true 2.5" to work with my Toda header and is as quiet as any aftermarket exhaust out there.

Wow, that Hytech is nice. Is it just a Mugen twin-loop copy?
I haven't seen that available up here in Canada. I'm leaning towards the T1R Power 63.

Anyone have sound clips of that?

The only OTS catback that boasts the 2.5in. diameter that I know of is the T1R. I run it and I love it. It's a touch loud but it comes with a silencer, not that I've used it  .

The Hytech piece is all that and then some when you consider the build quality and fitiment. It is a custom set-up though, built to order I believe. I was able to pick up the T1R system for less than half of the Hytech so my decision was easy.

Other options for you: custom set-up through KTeller, a local muffler shop set-up or SMSP custom(built to order).

Good luck

dc2 jdm header + car sound 2.5 cat-converter + Apexi WS2 cat-back = fill go together and fit on ITR? I think they are all go with 2.5 diameter but is this is a good package, and will it be quiet, freeing some power, and not pricy?

That would work well. Shoot them an email or call at http://www.Hytechexhaust.com and they can give you a price, but expect to pay about $800-$1000 for the catback and cat

I wanna say that the GSR is different, possible longer?
But i'm 90% sure the R exhaust fits LS.

If you use a header for an ITR (ie:Toda) and an ITR length cat it will fit. IF you were to use a GSR length cat, the ITR B-pipe will need to be modified.
