Got a new toy, until we get another ITR......

Well, we stumbled upon this guy over the internet while looking for a new summer daily driver. The temptation of being able to slide up to the grocery store entrance sideways was just too much to resist! So on a days notice we flew to British Columbia and Will drove the 15 or so hours home through the mountains.I thought I'd share some pics. The drive was beautiful, and the car is fantastic.
He's a 1990 Nissan Silvia Ks, full of goodies, including a full safety21 roll cage, advan rubber, drivers side recaro seat, sabelt harness and pads, camber plates, 5 way adjustable suspention, turbo upgrade, blow-off valve, external wastegate, turbo timer, boost gauge, etc, etc.

Very nice and congratulations on the purchase! How's the adjustment to RHD? By the way are you two done looking for cars now or are you still gonna puchase another ITR soon? Hopefully I get a chance to see the Silvia around town. :)

Once we get enough money together we'll definately be getting another Type R. As far as driving RHD, Will says it's easy as pie, the hardest part for him was remembering that the signals and windshield wipers' controls are in the opposite spots, so he kept cleaning the window whenever he changed lanes for the first hour or so.LOL. I still don't know if I'm even going to attempt driving this thing.....we'll see. And we're still looking for another car or 2....the joy of having no children and being financially stable

We'll definately see you around. Look for us at the Tim Horton's on Whyte Ave, amongst all the bikes!!!

Well, we found another project car (surprise, surprise  ), and I thought I'd share it with you too. We've been looking for an AE86 for over a year now, but couldn't find one that was suitable until last week. We flew out to B.C. again (I swear, all the good cars are there!!) on Sunday morning and drove him back that night.
So you can tell by the pictures that the fenders and hood have been replaced and are rust free, and that the right quarter panel has been fixed. All that's left for body work are the rocker panels, the left quarter panel, and a few places requiring sanding. The whole car will be repainted black. As far as engine mods go, this car runs and that's about it  . I think it's the slowest car we've ever owned!! (For now! A 20 valve swap is on the way)

I used to have one... Image

I still love it
But I had to sell it for a second time... I thought I could bring it back from the dead, but it was too far gone after the third owner had it.

That's too bad that there was someone who didn't take care of that car, it looked mint. :(
The coupe's are Will's favorite, and he wanted one but we could only find the lift back.
The coupe's are really hard to find. It's too bad you had to sell yours. What did you have for mods done to it? Where did you find parts at?

well it was the single cam SR5, but I did put some goodies in it.
TRD springs, KYB shocks, 13x7 wheels with 215/50-13 tires, K&N filter, 2.1/4 cat back built exhaust, 900 wt sound system, and I found a GTS LSD disc brake rear($200) that I put in after I blew up the stock.
I sold it (to a very good friend) so I could have the money to put as a down payment on the R...
then I bought it back 4.5 years later, But I knew that he was a car killer... But it was time to move on, It just needed so much I did not want to get involved.

that car was in near mint condition when I bought it from the Org owner... I still have the window sticker  Org paint and if you can see the paint was still shiny.
I do miss it. I got about 34-36 mpg and put 50,000 miles on it the first year, and the second year about 30,ooo miles. It was champ!!!

Ooooo....British Columbia, my home province :D . There are a ton of RHD cars tooling around here. In fact, two new car lots opened up right next door to me that specialize in Japan imports. The Nissan thing is almost played out, however, I'm seeing MR2 Turbos, Nissan NX200/Pulsar(not sure of the JDM name). Toyota TRD Landcruisers(Turbo Diesel) just to name a few all in RHD.

Congrats on the new purchase. She looks like a beaut.

Image BTW, that's soap all over the car. It looks like rock chips
Common sense says to rinse and dry the car off FIRST, and take the pictures AFTER. But I told common sense to stop bossing me around.
