I work for a large car dealership (I'm not a car salesman.. LOL), we took a 2000 Integra Type R in trade. We plan on wholesaling but I was offered a chance to buy it at cost. Here are the details I know so far...
2000 ITR, Yellow 49K miles
Clean CARFAX/Autocheck, VIN checks out
Some cheap aftermarket front seats and rails, aside from a small gauge cut out on the left side of the dash, the interior looks good
Front bumper needs to be re-hung
Transmission bolts are loose (WTF?) and it lurches.. stiff to, must be some Heavy duty stuff
Air box is not installed, its in the trunk (no CAI either), don't see a MAF sensor
Fuel Rail installed I think it said SRT or something like that
Apparently has RC 550 injectors
A/C Belt is off
Type R wheels painted black (Why?)
I dont think it has the stock exhaust.. looks like a regular one.. from an LS or something
I'm guessing the car had been turbo'ed, the oil looks good...
I can buy the car for $9500, what kind of project am I in for? What is the worst case scenario on this cost wise? I'd like the put the car back to stock as much as possible and most likely resale it
Any suggestions I would appreciate it!!!!!!!!!

You came to the right place. Welcome to ITRCA.
As for the Exhaust, It looks kinda plain. Take a look here:

If the Title is Clean, I would get it and make some money on it. That is if you can put a few extra $ into it. Most people would want a close to as stock possible R, and the bonus of a buyer looking for a stock R is that they are willing to pay a reasonable amount.
Or just keep it for yourself.
Now as for the Odd ball or loose parts. little things- Sort them out and get the aftermarket stuff off, replace with oem items.
Painted wheels... Probably cause it looked cool.
Stock seats these days are in the 400-800 range, easily changed.
Take a look around this site for other pictures to compare what you have to other ITRs and see what needs to be messed with.
If you need a specific Picture, let us know. I don't mind snapping a few as with most of the camera whores on this site.
Good luck and happy wrenching if you decide to take it on

Thanks for the quick reply, I'm going to take my camera in tomorrow and snap some pics.. and post em' up. I hate to sound mercenary, but I'm most likely buying this to flip it. I drive a 2005 S2000 and I'm not sure I need a another high theft rate vehicle as a daily driver

Hell I might keep it.. things are going pretty good at work as of late LOL... thanks again!

Do you know the badge # ? If so is the car listed here:
http://www.itrca.com/registry/browse.php
I would do a leakdown and compression test, but it looks like a keeper for that kind of money.
And I would bet it had a turbo setup on it...

It strongly beleive it was turboed... you can see a resister box still there...
(take a look at img 0563 on your s2ki picture site)
and obd0 - injector plugs??
(if it was me) might wana replace your engine harness aswell to eliminate problems with ignition later down the line...

Oh...
Then before you buy that car, I would have a full dianogstics check to make sure it's not internally messed up. I'm not saying the previous owner blew it up., Just watching out for the next owner... Maybe you.
Turbo on a stock block 'can' spell trouble.

Rob, when you say full diagnostics check, what are you refering to? (Besides full leakdown and compression check..) I'm curious

Everything that could be checked should be checked. Such as fuel pressure, spark strength. Anything that can be checked, Including items like bushings and pinch welds. If you are going to keep the car for yourself then I would look in to each part since you have no clue how the car was treated or mis-treated.
