yeah i know it sounds misserable for a 1/4 mile from an itr. and thats because it is. granted this was my absolute first time racing on the strip so i wasnt totally sure wat to xpect and also the huge factor that i am running on absolute shit snow tires. even sadder 15.6 was my best run if ya got any suggestions im takin em. ( i know i need to practice launcing).

Not far off my best time
and watch out for the speed ratings on those tires, You don't want them to fail at speed.

I ran a 14.97 with 2.4 60' and a 95mph trap my first time out last Friday. My launch was the ultimate granny style with my rpms at about 2k
. I'll give it another try this Friday and maybe launch it a bit higher. I'm running Toyo T1R tires at 40psi.
Road racing is more my cup of tea hense my trip to Seattle to lap at Pacific Raceways this past Monday. now THAT was a blast

Drop some tire pressure, and work on your launch. You should be able to get your 60ft time down to about a 2.1-2.2..

my best time is 14.9 average 15.3 launched at around 2k exalto pe2 tire and cai that was nov 06 ill be installing h/e for 07 i'm more for the corners but i still want to break into low 14. i hope new tires will improve my 60ft since its an eyesore for me to look at my slip. i took a co worker to run that same run he also ran 14.9 but hes running a s2000 but i had better reaction time so i finish before him and took the win. sec run i launch to high and spun but ran 15.3 he still ran 14.9 but again i got the reaction time and i cross the 1/4 before he did and took the win.
hmm

For some reason I use to think it isn't that hard to lunch/drag race in ITR's. Is it truly that difficult to get to 14.7 which is I think is average time for this R's
