BudMan's proof why I'm loving GranSport pads-SCCA RACE VIDEO

Both videos are identical, just different resolution.

Small size (95MB): http://www.nocoastracing.com/garage/Bud ... _small.wmv

Large size (140MB): http://www.nocoastracing.com/garage/Bud ... -16-06.wmv

Here's why this session was fun -
1) This is my 2nd race in SCCA ITE class. It kinda sucks being in with Vipers, the big porsches & 400+hp mustangs, but oh well.

2) HONDA RELIABILITY!!! I took 3rd because with 100+ temperatures & new track asphalt, 3 other cars broke. I went neck-to-neck with a 944 S2 for 8 laps before spinning (19 min mark on video) then caught him on the next lap - he thought I was done :) I turned 126,000 miles during qualifying on Sunday!

3) GRANSPORT PADS - They never faded. I ran ATE with autozone rotors & bled before the race. The only chance I had to keep up was by outbraking the 944 S2. It's REALLY obvious I was hammering those pads & they worked great. 2 Race weekends + the ITRCA.com EXPO weekend & there is still ~70% pad left! THANK YOU CARL - http://www.TRACRACING.com

4) Hooooooooosiers - Thanks Jimmy - the hoosiers definately helped me keep up with the 944. I wish I had lap times with the RA1's so I knew how much, but props to having a great friend.

Enjoy the spiiiiiiiin & recovery :) WHOOOOHOOOOO!

Great video and nice recovery! I've always enjoyed your Expo videos; clear, full length, professional driving and plenty of engine to the ears :D Looks like a lot of fun!

I don't know about "professional" - hehehe

Thanks for the compliments. I still haven't taken the tanabe racing medallion exhaust off, but I've always loved the noise :)

hey BudMan what did you do to improve the shifting of your car besides a clutch?

Clutchmasters stage 3 clutch/pp/flywheel combo. Other than that, I've replaced the main shaft bearing when it exploded on the way home from expo 4.

stock gears
stock final drive (yea - I've got an ats 4.9 in the garage not installed yet!)

126,000 miles on the motor & tranny.

btw - it was grinding 2nd to 3rd at expo 2...it still grinds when I'm racing, but not driving on the street. Yup -drove it to work last week :)
