Ok , so I got my car back from the shop today ( new clutch and flywheel)
My Q is whats the break in time and conditions? Is it better to do highway driving , stop and go driving, low RPM?

i just finished mine up too, new clutch/flywheel, accordin to my instructions that i got it says to drive it easy for the first 750miles, city drivin is better since its stop and go. Its just like new brake pads and rotors, u want the 2 sufaces to nicely and properly introduce themselves to eachother! :P

So which clutch /flywheel set up did you get? I got EXEDY organic clutch and a 9.1lb flywheel.
Keep me posted on how you like it

exedy stage 1 with fidanza flywheel weighted at 8.3lbs. im kinda still breaking it in now, but it feels alot softer than my previous act heavy duty pressure plate with 6 puck race disc and spoon flywheel. i just needed something cheap for now to get my car back on the road, im plannin to get the act setup again, as i dont feel the exedy stage 1 will hold up to my track days next season.

-I'm thinking about getting the exedy clutch and 9.1 lbs flywheel combo too. How do you like it so far? Did you get gears done too?

Did not see your question til now, sorry.
Anything that lasts more then 15,000 miles in my book is a good part, I drive the crap outta my POS each time. But I think I had over 20,000 on that clutch :)

What do you mean the gears done? I like it alot , it's deff stiffer than stock. Yeah it feels really good.

Rob, why do stock clutches seem to last longer, if there are not as heavy duty as the ones we are talking about?

Puzzled too.
Could it have to do with the extra clamping force and softer material to grab, Kinda like a R-comp tire????

I have no clue, Just made that stuff up
