WHAT MORE CAN I DO TO A HIGH COMPRESSION B18C1..
My bad next time i wont use all caps.......
I got a high compressin 97 gsr with USDM TYPE R pistons, SuperTech high compression valves, dual valve springs, titanium retainers and have a set of BLOX stage 2 cams im about to put in..What do i need to do to my fuel so my car runs good. I also have STR cam gears with a GREDDY timing belt..The whole intake and head were port matched and polished also i removed the butterflys and plenum from the intak..As for the crank it was re-polished and balanced and installed it with clevite 77 crank and rod bearing. The entire motor has ARP head studs and bolts throughout. I have a stage 2 EXEDDY clutch but im running a SC4 tranny that i was told that its from a stock LS???? I also converted from OBD2 to OBD1 with a chip and a APEXI VAFC controller.
Basically what can i do to make more power?? Im getting the car dynoed next week and need to upgrade my fuel but what should i use for fuel upgrades and what is needed for my setup...Also is my tranny a stock LS or what and what can i do about that...
I know im a newbie but thanks for taking the time for reading my post and any answers will help....

-what about a thinner head gasket, the mugen 2 layer bumps the compression up about 3 points
-i have a stock LS tranny on my setup and im about to ditch it for a B16A2 tranny, i hear its much better for NA apps. and the LS tranny only hinders ur power because of the long gears
-tell me how those blox spec 2 cams work for you i have 97 ITR ones and i want to go blox very soon.

Mugen 2 layer headgasket bumps compression up by ".4:1"!
LS tranny is geared tall and is GREAT for boosted cars. N/A cars are better with any originally equiped VTEC engine transmission.

So basically i should go with a stock GSR tranny rather then re-gear my SC4 now...I have a tranny guy who has player prices so which would better and if i re-geared it should i go with like B16 1-2-3-4 and a GSR or TYPE R final drive...Thats what i was told is a good setup...LS tranny is geared tall and is GREAT for boosted cars. Thanks to everyone for the posts...

So with the setup i metioned does that sound about right...Is a TYPE R final drive good or should i go with an LS or GSR final...This my daily driver...You can always do custom gearing. Hell for my CRX I got an SI, DX, and HF tranny's that I am planning on building a custom setup with gears from all 3 tranny's.
ITR final drive will work great for your setup. LS would be too tall and seem like your in VTEC for days without pulling hard. GSR would be ok too, but a ITR final drive would truly shine with your setup.
