Wow, that did not look like fun. But it is fixable...
Good luck on the future plans with it or w/o.

Yeah it is fixable but it would have a salvage title correct?

Depends on if you let it.
By that I mean If you let the Ins Co pay past the value of the car then yes it will have a salvage title. But if you get good with the Ins Adjuster and ask him to write it up under the total loss amount then you are good. But that meens you might have to come up with money to finish the repairs.

Looks like the main damage is over the frame rails. D-side door looks straight at least - looks fixable to me.
Good luck with the insurance, and glad you're mostly ok!

Yeah, good luck with the insurance. Make sure you're compensated for heR true value. Keep us updated on what happens with the caR. If you don't want heR back, others here may be interested in rebuilding. Keep heR in the family
How're the injuries now, several days later?

Tell me if this sounds right, insurance is offering 18,200 for the car and I can buy it back for about 4500-5000, does that sound right, sorry never gone through something like this with insurance

Sounds like they know what the car is worth. Depending on what you owe on the car, I'd buy it back. So lets say you only owe 10k on the car and they charge you 5k to buy it back. You still have 3200 to play with in buying a civic or something along those lines if you wanted to swap everthing over. Also, you could sell the engine/trans and basic swap for around the 5k price. Then you still have other parts of the car to make you more money. But all of this takes time too. So it's really what you'd like to do.

What is the amount where they total it? You need to ask.
Then tell us.
