I <3 teh PCA events.
So how was it in the rain? What kind of brain fade did you have fool? Oh, and how was the S in the rain. Also, what rules for driving the S at a PCA event? Seems like top up was ok, what about roll over protection?

Oh no, I had a freakin great time. I didn't really sleep at all friday or sat night though so I was extremely tired last night when I posted and fell asleep shortly thereafter.
brain fade was that after changing rotors and pads ( warped first set) at the track I got distracted and forgot to re torque my front lug nuts. I took it out on the street for a test drive and as I got back I got this horribly cyclical noise that pointed to a CV joint failure. Being so cold and that we were worried about havig time to change and axle in a parking lot somewhere we hurried to autozone to diagnose the problem there and be able to buy whatever we needed. Got all the way there before I realized I didn't torque them and after I did, everything was perfect again.

oh yeah.....some PCA regions may differ, but of the 4-5 I've run with all convertables require a rollbar and/or hardtop. Also, I think if you drive with the top down armrestraints might be required.....not sure on that though.

Hrm. There was an S at the last PCA event I went to. Hopefully he'll also be at the next and I can ask him about it. I plan on taking the S with me so that on the "parade" laps I can tool around in it.

NICE! Glad nothing was damaged due to Lug-gate.
Looks like a blast! Any pics of you on track with the LSR or 944?
<----loves the old 944s
<----really feeling that Spa Yellow AP1 with the Spoons, bolt on an OEM front lip and I've spotted my dream S

Unfortunately no pics of me on track. This was my second time driving the 944.That thing is so freakin perfect. I kept up with these twoextremely fast 996 GT3s for about 6 laps or so, but then they got away in traffic.

Those pics are awesome. Looked like an average track day in Washington State.
