Rebuilding a Stolen R...

Post by JDM_DC2 »

Hi everyone,I am new to this site and I've jus purchased an '01 Type R that was recovered in Texas. It's whole front end, motor, tranny and interior were stolen and the car was pushed into a ditch. Now its here with me in KS. I bought a JDM front end and am building up a regular GSR motor for now. BTW, its PY if anyone wanted to know.
The VIN # is Jh4dc23171s0000XX
I was wondering how to find out what number it was comin out of the factory. can you tell by last digits?
Thanks,

Brian

Brian - Unfortunately, there was no connection between VIN & car number on the armrest.

Your best bet is to do a title search and contact the original owner. I'm sure they will remember the number.

Where are you in Kansas?? I'm actually in Kansas City, but lots of family is in Topeka.
