looking for cf hood

Post by itr2006 »

For the past few months since i bought my type r, i been having a delimma to stick with turbo or go back to stock. I have decided to go to the darkside and go with FI. I have a few things to buy before summer hits and one of them is a cf hood. I wanna know if a cf hood with a hood scope would benefit a turbo type r or just stick with oem cf hood?

the type of hood you have will make no difference, the only thing it will do is reduce weight. A CF hood drops about 20lbs over stock, but it really has nothing to do with forced induction.

If you want to cool the engine compartment, remove the rear hood seal, it's proven to drop temps quite a bit.
