The question for you to answer is. Why do you think it needs replacing, Are there symptoms or problems to make you think of this?

BG makes a throttle body cleaner.. Take off the intake, get a tooth brush and some of the cleaner and go to town on the inside of the tb. Open the tb and do the same...

Jim, let him know that it might be hard to start after putting a lot of that in the TB. also it might cause a bunch of smoke out of the exhuast

I think i might need to clean or replace my throttle body b/c i find it hard to feather the gas. Also when i release the gear and the revs drop...the car shutters a bit...not sure what that means?

Are you sure you're just not keeping the revs up high enough when feathering the clutch in first gear? I know if I feather in too quick and revs drop to 500 rpm, I get the shudders too. As for just feathering the gas, have you checked the the throttle cable or gas pedal fulcrum for sticking?
