Hi,
Discovered I had a cracked valve spring retainer. Using mugen valve springs. Anyone else experience this before? Are there after-market retainers that are better to use with these springs?

Yup, I got the springs from Kingmotor sports.
Today I found out from a relative that the mugen springs are just stock springs but picked to make a matching set.
Anyway, I had stock retainers in there and one cracked.
Luck the valve didn't fall through and bust things up more.
I had reved it to near 10k accidentally.
I usually stop at 9100.
So i'm putting in titanium retainers.

Yea get better retainers for sure. I have heard of folks with regular Interga selling there stock springs making claim they are Mugen and people actually bought them. Me, I would never buy a used spring for a motor I plan to run hard you know.
But anyway, sorry to hear about that man, keep us posted

IIRC that the Ti retainers wear pretty quick. You might want to look into that.
What cams are you using them with?
