Hi bros and sis, I want turbo for my type r, but people say it is not good for my motor because of its high compression. So do i need to change the compression or not, I need a lot of advices, thanks

If you do a cheap turbo setup, and plan to run a FMU and a ghetto fuel management, you'll probably gain 30whp at the most due to the high compression and lack of tune (200whp). Least reliable.

If your willing to spend at least 10k, then you can leave your internals stock and boost 6-10psi, but you've got to get it tuned right away, and you'll see 100-150whp over stock easily (roughly 300whp). Reliable.

But the best route to go, would be to get some 9.0:1 JE pistons, eagle rods, and ARP headstuds. Then boost it, tune it, and DD 400+whp. Most Reliable.

Of course, then you can always resleeve it and go for 500+whp. Very Reliable.

All depends on what you want to do, and how much cash your willing to spend and how reliable you want your setup to be.
