Hi again peeps! Just trying to get opinions from owners and enthusiasts on this ITR... Clean carfax report that I ordered myself and with talking with the salesman, everything is as accurate as the pics and is included with the car...
I love the S2000's now don't get me wrong ( I've owned and driven two extensively), but I've always dreamed of owning an ITR!! Something about it's rarity and exclusiveness that intrigues me...
Just looking for thoughts and to see if this is actually a good decent deal/price??
Thanks,
Brandon
How about this '01 ITR?

From black to yellow? make up your mind! j/k haha
the car looks good, ask for the stock parts. Also ask when the mods were done, and who did them. Ask for receipts for the work done.
- Check the normal stuff...make sure the body panels line up. If they don't it may have been in an accident. Check the wheel bearings, the muffler, the body for rust, underneath for leaks, etc.
- Make sure the VIN matches with what you are buying, meaning check out beforehand that the VIN is from a real Type-R (if that's what you're buying)
- Make sure you get the title after the transaction has completed. Don't give him anything until you actually see the title, and don't let him leave with your check until the title is in your hands
- Make sure you have made arrangements to get the car insured once you take delivery.
- If at all possible, have a compression test done before buying the car, and have a QUALIFIED mechanic look it over. If someone refuses to let you do this, they may be hiding something.
- Make sure (if you are buying a used car from a private party) that you have test driven a car like it beforehand. There is NOTHING worse than buying a car and then finding out you don't like it.

Everything IBriaIN said. That low of mileage, I'd want to put as many stock parts on as possible, learn the caR the way she came from the factory.
Just some FYI, this R was on ebay last month with an opening bid of $16.5; not sure what it finally sold for. She came from Lafayette, IN.
She definitely seems to be in the ballpark of a good deal....just check heR thoroughly! GL

Ok thanks guys! I'll definately take all the advice I can get... I've driven a stock ITR briefly so I am semi familiar with one I suppose... I know its an apples to oranges comparo to an S2K, but I don't plan to drive heR near 10/10ths at all...
The car is in OH and I live in NC... I wanna at least get up there to look and see the caR firsthand first... The guy has been real helpful with his descriptions and previous info of the caR and all he knows about it and seems fair with his knowledge... But who really knows, ya know...
lol about the black to yellow comment...
Oh yeah, any other website to check out a car's history besides carfax? I've heard they miss some things sometimes...
