I've been reading up on these new Hyper Ground Wires out there, and I didnt belive it at first but the article coming out are showing sognificant gains in hp. It added like 13hp to an rx-7 and added 3 hp to an s2000. Does anyone have these on there Type R's. What do you all think about this?

I've seen that too. I would be interested in hearing how they help the type r.

I found this website that says the wires will add 5hp to a stock type r, and 5ft-lb torque.

Could this be for real

It could but who knows what else was factored in there. I'm going to install mine sometime and I'm not expecting much from some $40 wires. Maybe brighter interior lights or something :P

$40, where are you getting them from. I couldnt find them cheaper the $98, are getting some other ones besides the Hyper system. I heard that they make the best ones. They use them in all the skylines and JDM cars in japan.

The company that markets the wires under the name "SUN", that sells the hyper ground system is the real deal. They've actually done their homework on what type of wire and all that to use. Aside from that, they post on their magazine adds gains of about 5 whp and 5ft/lb of torque on a Honda Type-R, which is about as close as you can get to our cars in the states.

Any way, at this rate, I'm running out of stuff to do for extra HP, so I figure even for a couple whp, it's worth 100-120 bucks.

Later,
Aj

I think it's a pure fake, the resistance will be low between the battery and the body, but the body, the cylinder head and all other parts of the car have the same resistance than the older cable you have replace. Let me show you an example: You have a very low resistance from battery to body, ok. But from the body to ignition module, injector resistor pack...it's the body or simple wire who give the ground, so the resistor you gain with the system, you lost it with the rest of body components or the simple wire.
Sorry for my bad English.

I also read that you gain more hp when using those wires on boosted applications? Hmmm...I think I might try it out and see what happens :o
