Easy with the all caps bud...
CTR pistons will yeild a higher CR. What does that mean? It means you have to potential to make more power... however to utilize this higher CR, you might want to look into the option of cams at the same time.

if u just throw CTR pistons in stock motor I think the most u'll get is 5hp, BUT if you get some aggressive cams and some tunning u can get MUCH more power

You will see some HP gains with the higher CR, but you won't be utilizing that CR without some cams.
I fully plan on P&Ping my head, cams, springs and cam gears. I'm going with a fairly mild cam because my car is still my DD.
I plan on around 200+ WHP when done for now.

watch out for piston slap, not too sure about this setup.

I ran CTR pistons and stock cams in my old R and put down around 193 whp with intake header exhaust. I spent a lot of money getting that thing tuned. I maxed out 310 cc injectors and had a lot of issues with it leaning out. I worried the whole time I had the car about engine management. I ran it off a VAFC then moved on to Hondata. After it was sold to a local he traded it in with a gsr computer, stock injectors gsr header and exhaust. One of my other friends ended up buying the car from the car lot and drove it that way for over year as his daily driver.
So, I think if you have a stock height head and run 93 octane you have a chance. That engine made it through at least 25k hard miles and 4 owners. Hope this helps.

Why do people always seem to want the JDM CTR pistons instead of the JDM ITR ones. Is it because the ITR ones have just too high of a C/R?

I think its a little opposite, CTR has higher compression than ITR

im pretty sure the C/R of JDM CTR is 10.8:1 and JDM ITR is 11.1:1. If i can afford it once i rebuild id buy one of these pistons i just wonder how it would run on 91oct
