Toyo RA-1 - 225/50/16 question....

I currently have a set of 16x7 Enkei RPF-1's and I was looking at getting Toyo RA-1's. These will be on an 94+ Integra chassis. I know this really isn't "ITR Specific", but I figured that these are the Road Racing ITR people, and that you guys would have the some type of feedback.
Can I fit 225/50/16 or will they be pushing it on the clearance? Car will be aligned and corner balanced, and the car will be set-up. But i'm just curious if that size tire can work.
Or am i better off picking up 15" Enkei's and running 225/45/15?
Does anyone have any experience with that size RA-1?
Thanks!

205\50-15 RA-1 user.
more then enough tire for a stock suspension R.
In the future I'll be going to 225/45-15 R-Comp tires on a 15X7 rim with a upgraded suspension.
225/60-16 I think is too tall. check the tire's dimensions vs 195/55-15. try to stay close in diameter.
Also the stock offset is +50.
the one question I have is what do you need RA-1 for and are you up to skill for them?

thanks for the response Rob, i need the check the dimensions still and see how far off it is. I will be throwing my k20 integra onto the track soon. I have done a good handful of track events in the past, but not with this car. But this car will be sort of a dedicated track car, but i don't want to put anything higher then a R compound on there...yet. lol.
I've been toying the idea of going to a 15x7 rim over my 16x7, mainly for the smaller rolling diameter of the wheel, more tire options and more rim options. But i would rather see if its possible to squeeze the 225/50/16 onto an integra, before deciding to go to a 15"

If my memory still works... 225/40-16 is the correct size not 50s

Rob, do you think in the long run, it's better to just go with a 15" wheel, for more tire options and availability vs a 16"?

Personally I have 2 sets of rims. 1- 15X6.5 with MXs for street and easy laps. and 15X7 with RA1s for turning fast laps and to spare my street tires.
So you can see what I do... but it's your preference. other then money and clearence issues with brakes there is almost no difference.
