Is it just me or anyone else here thinks that 08 Mugen Si is a waste of money? Almost $30K for a 4-door Civic Si with upgraded suspension, better wheels and tires setup, a body kit, and a sport exhaust system. But still a 200 hp 4-banger engine, same FWD platform. I don't know, $30K opens up a lots of much higher performance alternatives: WRX, Evo, VW R32...etc.
Yeah, waste of money IMO other than any "neat" factor. Civic Type R sedan for $30k........that's a little more alluring. They can keep that fugly bubble hatch over there.
If you have the money go for a BMW M5. Now that is a fast sedan. I had to settle for an 07 530i. I wished I would have known that they were coming out with the 535i in 08. E60's handle amazing for their size. Weigh as much as the the E90 3 series about 3500lbs. Just don't own one out of warranty.
A BMW hardly fits into this coversation... the price alone is nearly double. then there is the size, mpg, and engine size... not to mention it's not really a boy racer like the civics, tsx or wrx.
I'm not knocking your car or any bmw.

Thats what I was replying too. The bimmers are more of a luxry ride, with performance. Not always a good thing (more things to go wrong). The price isn't too bad if your in the military, and stationed overseas. I saved about 11k from stateside MSRP. Were only talking about 10-13k more than an STI if that. I see some younger people on bimmer sites that put M areo kits, suspension kits, engine upgrades, and 19 inch wheels on there bimmers. It's just a more money and German.
