Reving issues...wont rev pass 2k rpms

it just started today driving at freeway speed when all of a sudden i feel like my fuel just got cut off. Now my car cant even go pass 2k rpms in every gear. my car tops out at 40 mph in 5th gear at 1900 rpms. it feels like the fuel was cut off once it passes 2k rpms. Even at wide open throttle after the 2k rpms shows no signs.

i tired resetting the ecu but nothing seems to work. no CEL. no bad idling. just wont rev pass 2k rpms.

new fuel filter, spark plugs, spark wire, iacv, tps sensor, map sensor, front o2 sensor replaced about 5k miles ago

any ideas why?

any difference in the way the car/motor sounds?

I was thinking limp mode, but the rpm cutoff for that is 4500 (i think)

Check the airfilter?

Your car has a stock ecu? ever been messed with?

Seems like an electric/computer problem, but check to see if each plug is in good shape and test to see if all are getting spark.

report back, I'd like to know what goes on.

Hopefully some of the smart members jump in

so this morning, sunday, i took my car to the repair shop that opens 7 days a week. mechanic guy told me that its my distributor, and it has something to do with my vss..vehicle speed sensor??? i dont know. anyway..today i took a closer look and i figured out the problem..i think. i unplugged the tps connector from the tps and believe it or not. i was able to drive pass 2k rpms. with the tps not plugged in, the car drove perfectly, except that i get a CEL saying my TPS is unplugged/malfunction. i think i just have a bad connector, the tps connector looks burnt and rusted on the metal.

not sure how im going to fix the bad connector, maybe buy a new engine harness $600??? i went to autozone and pepboys..those guys dont sell the connector.

TAKE OFF TPS FROM JUNK YARD FROM ANY HONDA, LIKE CRV OR SOMETHING MOSTLY ALL THE SAME, HAD SAME PROBLEM AND REPLACED TB 3 TIMES FROM DEALER. THEN I CHANGE THE CONNECTER MYSELF AND IT WORKS FINE, DEALERS DONT KNOW CRAP. I ONLY BROUGHT IT TO THEM CAUSE I WAS STILL UNDER WARRENTY
