Hey guys I have a question in reguards to the ground cable that runs from the valve cover to the radiator support. I have seen a lot of guys just changing it out for 8 or 4 gauge power wire from an amp kit or something. my question is will this help anything other than maybe making your radio work better? Also i have seen a lot of grounding kits out there and i was wondering if it is worth it or not. I'm thinking that i should just leave everything alone because it runs great and pulls hard. Thanks for the advice if any, i appreciate, you guys are a great help.

I did it cause the stock one looks like crap.
But I did go with bigger cable just incase it does help.
I heard stories that it smooths out the ignition, therfor making better power and mpg... only heard stories- never saw any proof.

Yeah...
I really doubt it's going to do that much with so many other "grounding" points from the engine to chassis.

Thanks guys, yea I didn't think it would make much of a difference but I thought I might as well ask. I ran a 4 gauge wire in place of it, and your right the stock one does look like crap. Hey thanks again, the info is greatly appreciated.

Remember, current flows with the path of the less resistance. Just because you have 10 grounding points (what grounding kits achieve) - does not mean you are getting and advantage out of it. It will just be redundant in most cases.
Just make your current OEM grounding points work well. Replace the wires if necessary, make sure it makes good contact, the contacts are clean, etc...

And after you clean them, coat the contacts with a heavy waterproof grease before you bolt them back or when they get wet, corrosion will form from galvanic action because of the two dissimilar metals (brass & steel body panel).
