Header Wrap Question

Post by FlamencoBlack00 »

Hey guys I have a Vibrant J-Spec Race Header on my car for a while now and wrapped it several months ago. My question is should I worry about it rotting away on me, I know it is stainless but thats beside the point. Also would it be a good idea to unwrap it in the near future and take a look and see how it is been doing and possibly hi temp coat it and replace the wrap?
thanks for any input.

Rot? No... heat up and break welds... good possibility. Or at least that's what Dave @ SMSP suggested to me.

I have seen one header, years ago that had rusted out from a wrap, but it was on a SB 350 and it was a cheap header.

I would lean away from wrapping them up, Maybe a coating of some sort. But the cost of that and the header becomes rather pricey, Especially since most of the headers on integras get bottomed out.
