I can't find my Jon D shout-out thread anywhere on ach tee anymore. And did not get an edit/moved/deleted notification. Are they going there now?

I don't know. I just noticed that one of my posts that was the first on a page was suddenly halfway up the previous page.

A lot of stuff like that gets done by the powers that be though.

I noticed the moving around of posts too, earlier today. Not sure if someone stopped hosting pics and it went from a large area to a small red X or what.

Turns out the merged it with the BS thread. Which I don't have much of a problem with, although it sort of defeats the purpose of a shout-out thread, burying it in a 100-page ongoing thread.

What bothers me is the total lack of notification.

Rob, you know as well as I do that it would be nothing more than pissing in the wind. Web forums are anything but a democracy, and ever since they sold out, I'm thinking they'd be even less interested in "constructive criticism."

Just look at the number of banned accounts posting on tuna now. They essentially banned Willard, for Christ's sake.

After all the BS with Mike selling out and the bronto getting royally hosed, a lot of OG's just pulled back entirely. I guess mgmt got back at Will after he took down his tech content.

I'd like to stay away, but none of the cool sites get enough traffic during the weekdays

yeah, exactly. I wish people would actually post on tuna. There is a whole lot of really good info on h-t and its a great database, but theres just so much BS hiding it all.

You're probably right. I tend to avoid specifics if things like that come up on other boards. I wouldn't be surprise if there's a crawler checking a few dozen sites for key words.
