All about... BEER!!!
Re: All about... BEER!!!
I didn't much care for that one personally. Though I did see a new one by them I want to try. Forgot the name of it however.
Re: All about... BEER!!!
My choice is sam adams for good 'ol traditional beer at home or at the ballpark.
Re: All about... BEER!!!
Well, I think I officially don't like Belgians. Tried Duvel last night, along with Chimay the other day... not my cup of tea. They have a distint taste that I can't put my finger on (the yeast maybe?) but I just don't like it.
Re: All about... BEER!!!
Picked up a 6pack of this for tonight:
Re: All about... BEER!!!
Dave try this if you see it
Re: All about... BEER!!!
But it's a pale ale. LOL, I'm always down to try something, but I'm more of a lager, ale, porter, stout kind of guy.
I may have to look for a new pilsner now that it's getting hotter outside though.

Pale ale's are great, you just haven't had the right ones, do you like Magic Hat #9? if so, you will like this one.Dave_B wrote:But it's a pale ale. LOL, I'm always down to try something, but I'm more of a lager, ale, porter, stout kind of guy.

Re: All about... BEER!!!
Magic Hat is ok IMO, but it's not something I go out and seek. If someone has one to offer I won't turn it down, but if I'm at the store I won't buy it. The reason I don't like pale ales, is they are hoppy and bitter. I'm more of a malt kind of guy myself. And prefer darker beers in general.

Re: All about... BEER!!!
I would have left with all of it. LOL, except that Kentucky stuff you mentioned... not at $24 a 4 pack. I might have picked up a single just to try however.

I see PBR and think of Cubs bars in Wrigleyville here.
I do enjoy some good Goose Island stuff.

Who are you to judge, so what if I like the crisp taste of PBR, the smooth aroma of Parliament Lights and listening to bands that you've probably never heard ofErik95LS wrote:it's unfortunate that PBR has become the official beer of hipsters. (not talking about you lambzie)
But no really, they love that shit... which sucks because it's always a nice/cheap fallback beer.

Re: All about... BEER!!!
Today at work I was waiting on a few guys and they did red monk shots, St. Bernardus ABT 12 topped with St. Louis Framboise. The guy then was asked about a fruity beer so suggested Wells banana bread. He wanted another banana beer so brought him a bottle of Chapeau Banana which is a lambic. They started thinking about the Red monks and thought "yellow monk" they had the ABT 12 with a topper of the Chapeau. It was delicious!!
