I just found out that one of the Joliet demolition derbies will be held on the evening of July 3rd. This place is about 10 minutes from Autobahn. I tried going last year but it was actually sold out in a HUGE way (maybe 50-100 people in the parking lot trying to buy tickets off others). Ticket price is $16/adult (paid ahead of time by phone), $11 kids (same deal). Add $4 to the price if bought day-of, but don't count on even being able to do that.

Unfortunately, saturday night = banquet... so most of us will be tied up until at least 9 or so..

Last year was much calmer compared to previous years. I think it was a mixture of the cooler weather, some people not in attendance, and many people starting to get a bit older.

There was still a decent amount of drinking and shenanigans at the hotel though.

Yea, being in that cool hangar type thingy was lightyears ahead of the stuffy room from E7 and E8.

Yeah, absolutely. I think we'll be in there for the banquet again. It worked out alright I think, definitely better than cramming into that impossible to breath room at VIR.

I know I was, and it didn't stop at the banquet. I think I stopped drinking after spending $200 or whatever at The Cellar.

Actually, I didn't see much drunkenness at the banquet...but then there was the hotel parking lot afterward
