JDM ITR Momo SRS Steering Wheel Hub

Hey everyone, I recently purchased what I thought to be an ITR Momo SRS steering wheel, but I guess the guy lied to me and it was a CTR steering wheel. I heard that you can interchange the hubs with the ITR ones. So if anyone has had their airbag go off and have a plain ITR Momo SRS wheel hub sitting around, please let me know! Thanks! You cannot interchange hubs... technically.

You would have to cut one, and weld in the other, it is NOT a bolt on affair.

That being said, what your asking for is a blown wheel with no air bad, and that WILL work for you, as the CTR and ITR airbag is interchangeable.

You, of all people should know this. You had the CTR and ITR wheel. The center hub (metal part in the center) has to be cut, and re-welded to work. If by "hub" you mean the whole wheel minus the air bag, then yes.

The hubs are interchangeable, they are held on by four bolts. I actually have a CTR hub sitting in my garage that I took off a wheel to put a ITR hub on.

If you want I will take a picture of just the hub but you should just take my word for it because I'm lazy.

Would I really need to cut even though both the CTR and the ITR momo srs wheel has four screws that are holding them together?

you do not need to cut, they are interchangeable. Although it is very hard to come by, your quickest routes will be to look on ebay for a blown ITR bag, or sell the CTR and buy an ITR. I am on a search for a fucked up wheel to buy, either ctr or itr. Remember your wheel the notches are 3 and 9, your are looking for 6 and 12.

lol, I did cut mine but I actually cut my stock wheel, only because I couldnt find one.

I've also had both, 4 hex bolts hold the hub on - easy to switch between CTR and ITR.

Maybe you are thinking non-srs hub to srs hub? Non-SRS hub is held on by about 6 smaller hex bolts. You can still swap CTR/ITR non-SRS hubs also, but just not non-srs to SRS.

Nope, I stand corrected. Was thinking about Jim calling me in reference to the JDM ITR wheel and cutting something.

Now it is clear he was not talking about cutting the hub.

haha didn't know a WTB thread could become an information thread. Sweeet! Well, I found someone selling an ITR Momo Srs steering wheel without the airbag for $70. Is this a good deal? The steering wheel itself is pretty beat up, but all I need is the hub from it.
