Re: Type R vs. Type S
In my opionion I would got with the R, I raced a modded S, intake header exhaust and a lil weight reduction and got it by half a car to a full car length and my car is stock. Driver of the S is a better driver than me too.

Tell us what you intend to do w/the car. What do you mean when you say racing?pk23 wrote:i am stuck between these to cars. I like the type r alot but i hearing that the type s is better performance wise. I need to is the type r worth it or the type s. Which has more kick when it comes to racing.
The ITR's suspension and Torsen axle make it a very good track car.

Type s? OHH you mean that car that was real far in my rear view the other day when i nailed my 3rd gear!!!
Type S is for all those who wanted to buy what they thought was better then the type R cause its brand new and just came out but really just screwed up thinkin it was faster then the R... just like those peeps buying family car SE-R's tryin to Front on The R
that's my view on things anyway
Did i mention the R was better? thought you'd get the point...

Careful, we don't promote street racing around here. Invite her to the strip next time, call it a date.pUrExTc wrote:Well, at a stoplight, I raced a blue Type-S...female driver...

At first, I thought you said, "Invite her to strip next time, call it a date."Jan Niemi wrote:Invite her to the strip next time, call it a date.

Re: Type R vs. Type S
Honestly it depends what is important to you in a car. The Type S is a far nicer and more luxerious car, the R, not so much.
The S is smoother and is quicker off the line. The R is slower off the line but once that VTEC kicks in it screams. The S is quick but it hits the rev limiter sooner and the shifting is quite different, the R has more space but off the line is slow wtih far less torque. Overall speed they are pretty comparible but I think the R is faster 0 - 60.
Suspension, the R comes right from the factory tuned and stiff, the S needs some tweeking but can be just as tight.
The R is all about prestigue and class the S is common and all over town.
