How many ITRS in the missouri 4 state area

Post by Importfreak02 »

I'm getting an ITR, I live in springfield mo. Just curious as to how many are in this 4 state region. I think a huge meet somewhere in this area would be awesome. Possibly over the summer.

There are quite a few more itr's here then the SoCal folks want you to believe...Next year, I can get you hooked up with some of us that run Heartland Park (Topeka), Hallot (Tulsa), and MidAmericaMotorsports (Omaha).

btw - I'm BudMan, the design coordinator of this site & bseries.net. Let me know what you think of the site. :D

Jeffro here in St. Louis. I personally know 2 other owners here, but I know of about 5 other Type R's in town. I try to keep track of em, I'd say about half have been destroyed. I know 2 cars came to our dealers in 97, 4 in 98, none in 99 and 8 in both 2000 and 2001 for a grand total of 22. I know of 4 total destructions, and 2 that are heavily modified, but that leaves quite a few unaccounted for. Theft has been thankfully low here.

James here also in St. Louis. Would like to meet other Type R people in the St. Louis/ St. Charles area. Trouser chili, have you been around Adrenaline motorsports, I have seen a yellow 98 ITR there once in a while. Haven't seen many other ITR in the area.

Never been to Adrenaline motorsports, where is it? Mostly I keep my car hidden away, sad but the paranoid truth. It's been over at lightspeed once or twice as well as Road Rage when it existed. When it's warmer sometimes I'll take it up and down South Lindbergh for a laugh. Once back in 1999 me an another R just by chance went down South Lindbergh side by side, the ricers were stopping in their tracks. I get the feeling that even today they don't see them very often down there. Funny, but it worries me a bit too. I've been tailed home several times.

Adrenaline motorsports is located off the outer road by Cave Springs in St. Peters. I have my ITR stored next door for the winter also. Just had the motor out bored out, new racing pistons, H beam rods, balanced block components, custom head head work and lots of other improvements to the motor. Hope to start looking for a turbo solution to further improve hp. When are you looking to take your R out of winter storage? I can't wait to get mine out, it just begs to be driven.

Just took the R out the other day. It appears it's gonna need some attention soon. A good detail job and the clutch is acting strangly. Long takeup and the engage point seems to be rather schizophrenic. I must not have noticed it last time I drove it as I was driving it regularly then, but now to drive it after some time, it just feels off. Any R owners in the area with a stock clutch wanna drive my car? I need someone to confirm the weirdness here.

i'll probably be out there soon.. born and raised in STL.. I'll be moving back to the area soon (Waterloo, IL at first, then back to the MO side soon after).. My R will be coming with me(98, 78k miles, many mods)..

I'm out there frequently, although not usually with the car.. I get a sense that the import scene is still really struggling to get the mass popularity it has on the coasts.. Is that true? One good thing about that I guess is it reduces the theft threat on our cars. Do you guys have meets at all?

Cedar Rapids Iowa here and I have NEVER seen another R here. Saw one in Iowa City but it had IL plates. Anyone want to try the dirt track outside of town in my friends field? It is an absolute blast, both in the R and the vintage 1971 LT-1 Camaro. I also have a place in the Chicago area but the R stays in Iowa due to theft problems in the big city.

BCNUV8,
Cedar Rapids, IA? I've never seen your car there ever. What color is it? do you ever drive it? BTW, I never take my car to Chicago either for the same reasons you don't.

Is it a yellow one? If so I think I've seen her on 291 before.
